Andrew Woods is the currator of Numismatics, Coins, Medals, Tokens and Bank Notes for York Museum's Trust. Before that he was based at the Department of Archaeology and the Fitzwilliam Museum at Cambridge. He has a article charting the use of money in the forthcoming Medieval Dublin XIII and an article on Ireland's early Medieval coinage in Early Medieval Monetary History: Studies in honour of Mark Blackburn (Publication date: 2014).

This talk was part of Milestones of Medieval Dublin. A series of monthly lunchtime lectures which took place during 2013 at the Wood Quay Venue. The series is presented by the Friends of Medieval Dublin and Dublin City Council.
